Baddesley Park FC have been invited to and taken part in a Sky sponsored event at Eastleigh Football Club. This invitation was extended to the Club thanks to our Charter Standard and good links to the Hampshire FA. The lucky lads involved were the U14s and I know that they really enjoyed a fantastic day out being coached by Matt le Tiss and Paul Merson. The Club of course is very proud to have been invited and whilst I cannot give the results the boys did us very proud.
Please tune into Soccer AM on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day to see the action.

Quiz night a great success !

Again a quick thank you to all of you who supported the latest quiz night. The event was as ever  very well supported with the honours going to Kev Reads very strong team, boasting Martin,Lisa, Alex, Michelle, Matt and Jo. The team was from the U11 Crusaders so we will all claim this one ! I wont mention where the wooden spoons went, surely not an U11 Crusader team !
The night was very successful due to all your great support, so thanks to you all plus once again Mr Vince who puts agreat deal of effort in.

U13s suffer 10 men heartache !

On a decidedly mixed day for Baddesley Park, as of yet I have few positives to report ! The U13s were quite magnificent in their home game, fielding only 10 players they more than held their own taking a 1-0 lead. The boys were pushed back and with Josh Powell superb in goal and with Matty and Ryan contributing to a great team performance the boys luck ran out and a 2-1 defeat was cruel in the xtreme. The U11 Crusaders played unbeaten St Francis and also cruelly going down 2-1 after a great Harry strike had got them back in the game. The U12s could not quite follow up last weeks great win and unfortunately took a defeat.  The U14s continued their pursuit of promotion with an impressive 10-0 thumping of Colden Common, they look well on course to be reunited with Div 1 before long.

Baddesley Park shine on Autumn sunday.

On another glorious Sunday Baddesley Park enjoyed a decent haul of success. The U9s won both of their games to continue an excellent run of results whilst Neil Cullens U10s drew 3-3 against St Francis then despatched Tadburn 4-2, another Max Cullen hatrick a highlight of the 1st game. The U11 Knights continued their improvement drawing a great game 5-5 whilst the U11 Crusaders continued good league form winning at Weston 2-0 big Dylan with a brace. The U12s showed great character winning 6-0 after a tough last wee. The U13s had a tougher day losing 5-1 to Sportstars, whilst Mr Lowmans side powered to another fine win, George with a hatrick off the bench the highlight. Well done lads .

Sunny Sunday smiles on most of Baddesley Park !

The unseasonable Birmingham style weather gave ideal playing conditions for todays games. Eugenes pups came 1st in both of their games playing trademark passing football. The U7s won both games 7-0 and 7-1 to continue a great run of form. Mr Cs U10s drew against Sportstars 1-1 and lost to our friends Pace 2-0. The u11s saw the knights beat Lingland 5-3 whilst the Crusaders lost 3-2 to Horndean in a Hampshire cup classic, very cruel. The U12s also lost going down heavily to opponents from Alserford. The U13s beat Hedge end 5-4 in a topsy turvey game whilst the U14s despatched Sky Blues 7-1 whilst wearing our new style away kit, very smart !

Soggy Sunday brings some Baddesley cheer !

This Sundays poor weather took its toll on our teams fixtures but for those teams that did play it was well worth the effort. The U9s had two great wins beating Pace 1-0 and Sarisbury Sparks 6-1 both fantastic results. The U10s again had a week off allowing Mr Cullen to enjoy the Saints victory over Bournemouth. The U11s were both in action at a very soggy Baddesley Rec, the Knights had a tough morning against a well organised Brendon side going down 4-1 whilst the Crusaders continued their good run with a comfortable 2-0 winover Hythe Turbos. The U13s broke their duck with a great win over another Hythe side in a game memorable for a goal from Josh Powell that I suggest will not be bettered  in any level of football this season, a volley from the half way line off the keepers drop kick takes some beating. Finally the U14s canter back to Div 1 suffered a slight setback on a dodgy pitch as they were held 1-1.

Good Day at the office !

posted 26 Sep 2010 11:56 by neil bruce

The Baddesley boys had a very good day at the office with wins at U8s and U9s. The U9s winning 7-1 and 3-2. The U10s had a day off as did both the u11 sides. The U12s again had a much improved performance but were denied a deserved win going down 2-1, they must take their chances ! The U13s are enduring a tough start and lost 5-2 at Wyvern, again not a fair reflection, they really need a break. Mr Lowmans U14s continue to make a mockery of their demotion and demolished Hiltingbury 7-1, their brief interlude in Div 2 will not be for long. The U15s chalked up a customary victory and a promotion charge is well underway.

GOLF DAY

Baddesley Park FC Golf Day

The third Baddesley Park golf day was held at Romsey Golf Club on the 4th September. Once again Eugene Glasspool organised a great day for all that took part.
The weather was perfect for golf, again this year blessed with no rain. Although not the longest course, Romsey is a very tight and compact 18 hole course.
Numbers were slightly down this year with only 7 teams consisting of 4 players battling for the honours.
Team winners were Eugene's Team (no surprise there then!) Steve Spinney, Mark Hansel, Mark Thomas and of course Eugene.
Nearest the Pin on the 10th Chris Foster.
Nearest the pin on the second shot Mark Hansel on the 14th.
Longest Drive Mark Hansel.
Overall individual winner Arron Barnes.
Not sure what prizes these guys received but i don't think it was the golf lessons!
Before Teams took to the 1st tee, bacon sarnies and coffee was served in the club house. Once all teams had finished they sat down to a great carvery in the restaurant.
Baddesley Park FC would like to thank Eugene for all his organisation of a fantastic day. Special thanks to everybody that took part and of course supported the Club in a great day. Not only is this is a brilliant social event but it also helps to raise some funds for the club. This year approx £200.00 was raised.
