Hedge End rangers 2 - 5 Baddesley Park
                                               Ryan
                                               Oliie
                                               Ben
                                               Joseph
                                                George E

A cold wet early start saw a full strength Baddesley team turn up face what was a bottom of the table clash with Hedge End. The boys started well and should have taken the lead but for a very late offside flag cancelled it out but then Ryan took charge and made it 1-0 the boys then seemed to take there foot of the gas and then seemed to not know each others names as some poor sloppy play saw Hedge End pull it back to 1-1 that's how it stayed for the rest of the half . Some choice words from Dave and THE STEVE WONDER IMPERSONATOR  about tempo and taking the game to the opposition saw B/P come out with a much higher tempo and some hard work from Joseph down the right saw Ryan put a quick ball into the box and Ollie pounced with a smart finish 5 mins later saw Ben make it 3-1 and with 15 mins  gone into the second half saw Joseph get on the score sheet that his hard work had deserved 4-1. The boys seemed to take there foot of the gas again but an inch perfect corner from Ryan saw George E  leap and head home to make it 5-1. With B/P now in full flow again and Hedge End leaving 3 up top a long ball over the top was finally bundled in after Bob had done well to save the first effort the only disappointing fact of the day is we now have a gap between us and Hedge End in the table but we are still second bottom on 9 points the only good thing about that is the team top of the table has12 points  and we are still only playing at 60% of our capability its going to be an interesting second half to the season.

Baddesley Park 5-4 Hedge End rangers
Ryan x3
George E
O/G

The boys continued the mine revival  and got a shaky win over Hedge End  which sounds a lot  more closer than it was. The boys started very well with a lot of possession without the end result when a back pass clearance was deflected into the B/P goal from Bobs clearance totally against the run of play but to the boys credit they were level 2mins later when Joseph delivered an inch perfect ball on to Ryan's head 1-1 it soon become 2-1 TO B/P after a corner was deflected into his own net by the Hedge End defender and the boys were again on top when Ryan made it 3-1 with some silky skill.

Hedge End were not in this and it looked at this time that this could turn into a cricket score but with 2mins of the half to go some real poor and slow play saw a ball cut out and the Hedge End player lifted the ball into the net from a full 30 yards.

The second half started like the first with B/P having a lot  of the ball and we soon got the 4th when again Ryan and Ollie combined well and Ryan got his hat trick and slotted the ball home. but again the boys took there foot of the gas and another 30 yards inch perfect shot sailed pass Bob into the top of the goal 4-3 this now turned into a very sluggish match with Hedge End going for the long ball with the wind behind them and B/P trying to slug it out with them which is not our game at all. But the game should have been made safe again when Ryan's corner was headed into the net by George but again another long ball down field was not dealt with by the 3 B/P players and the forward to full advantage and made it 5-4.

The game ended and a wins a win but this should have been more comfortable than it was 2 long range efforts and a deflection made this look like Hedge End were in this BUT THEY NEVER WERE.

Kings Park (Wimborne) 2-1 Baddesley Park
                                                   Ben x1

We headed down the A31 to deepest Dorset with real belief after last years run to the last 16 in the competition only losing narrowly to the eventual winners could this be the day our season starts. With very little known about the opposition the game started with Kings Park using the pitch very well it was a very large pitch but with Josh in gaol for Bob who was away on Hampshire cricket duty we used his long kicks to get up the pitch. Both sides had early chances and after 20mins Ryan put  a great corner into the 6 yard box and with the keeper in no mans land Ben leapt like a salmon and headed it into the net on the balance of chances B/ P deserved to be in front at half time 1-0. At half time the management team had to make 2 forced changes with both Ben and George N jack picking up injury's we sent out a patched up back 4 with the only 11 fit boys we had. Kings Park huffed and puffed for the first 15mins of the second half and B/P looked like they had weathered the storm with out standing performances from both Ollie and Alex in difficult situations the boys started to get on top again but with 20mins played some how Kings Park scrambled the ball home in a goal mouth scramble -1-1. This took a lot out of the boys but they still tried to play some nice football but they all looked dead on there feet as the time ticked on the pitch must have felt like it was getting bigger and bigger and with ten mins to go the Kings Park player somehow tip toed his way through the defence and slid the ball into the net 2-1. The boys came off looking totally demoralised but Kings Park to there credit played some good football and the boys should be proud of there performance and if they take the same effort and belief into the next few games we won't have to wait long for our first win

Baddesley Park 1- 3 Colden Common
 GOAL MATT B.

The day started with such promise after the coach's triumphant return to football the day before but was bought down to earth by an orange bump. The boys looked a bit on the small size back on the Mountbatten pitch and so it proved as they found it very hard to get out of their own half in the first 10 mins. Then some poor communication at the back saw the Common forward slide the ball into an open net - when are the boys going to start to talk to one another? It was still very untidy as both sides found it difficult to get the upper hand but with 2 mins to go the management team would have been happy just to get the boys in and re group when a high ball in the BP box was not delt with. In fact 5 boys stood and watched it as the Common striker found himself with the freedom of the six yard box and slotted it past Rob. 0-2 at half time.

The management team put in a team building talk at half time that saw BP come out much better in the second half and with a bit of fortune, as it did look offside, Matt B ran onto a ball and lifted it over the keeper. The boys fully deserved it and were back in the game. They then had 2 real good chances to get on level terms but failed to hit the target on both occasions and with Common holding on the gaffer changed the formation to try and grab a point. Just when BP looked like the only team going to score the ball fell to a Colden Common play 20 yards out with 2 mins to go he hit it on the bounce and it flew into the top corner! the boys need to learn quick this year that games are going to be very tight with very few goals between the sides. We must take our chances talk more and have faith in the new system and each other by getting the ball down and out wide and they must play at a much quicker tempo.
